As you are aware that in terms of section 23 of Mental Health Act 1987 Officer In-charge of Police Station is required to take protection of any person wandering within the territorial area falling within their jurisdiction. The geographical conditions of Himachal Pradesh, it may not be possible for every police officer within the State of Himachal Pradesh to search for all such persons. Equally, it is the duty and responsibility of every citizen to inform the police officer about the whereabouts of such persons.

In this regard, district police Mandi have launched an official website www.mandipolice.in  and helpline Toll free number 155326 where general public can furnish/share information with regard to the whereabouts of any person who is suffering from mental illness or is incapable of taking care of himself on this website & toll free helpline number.
